Meta-analysis of functional imaging data using replicator dynamics.
Despite the rapidly growing number of meta-analyses in functional neuroimaging, the field lacks formal mathematical tools for the quantitative and qualitative evaluation of meta-analytic data. We propose to use replicator dynamics in the meta-analysis of functional imaging data to address an important aspect of neuroimaging research, the search for functional networks of cortical areas that und...
متن کاملBig Trajectory Data Analysis for Clustering and Anomaly Detection
We’ve been developing a sensor that can acquire positional data. Recently, a position-based big data creation is easy task and trajectory analysis is the highest priority for ”position-based service”. Traffic congestion, marketing mining, and pattern analysis are the one of the examples in trajectory analysis field. In this paper, we propose the trajectory analysis approach for clustering and a...
متن کاملReplicator Graph Clustering
Motivation Data clustering, which aims at identifying a varying number of clusters and unique cluster assignments in a fully unsupervised manner, is an important topic in machine learning and computer vision. Many of the available methods in this field such as k-means or mean shift are based on a Euclidean assumption. In this work we overcome the shortcomings of such an assumption by considerin...
متن کاملEntropy-based Consensus for Distributed Data Clustering
The increasingly larger scale of available data and the more restrictive concerns on their privacy are some of the challenging aspects of data mining today. In this paper, Entropy-based Consensus on Cluster Centers (EC3) is introduced for clustering in distributed systems with a consideration for confidentiality of data; i.e. it is the negotiations among local cluster centers that are used in t...
متن کاملReplicator Dynamics in Protocells
Replicator equations have been studied for three decades as a generic dynamical system modelling replication processes. Here we show how they arise naturally in models of self-replicating polymers and discuss some of their basic properties. We then concentrate on a minimal dynamic model of a protocell by coupling replicating polymers with a growing membrane.
